President, Peter Wilkins, brought the meeting to order at 19:30 and
welcomed the members present.

There were 2
applications for membership in the SAOC (Central) this month:
Sylvain Pleau, Gatineau and Ken Marr, CF exchange Hawaii.
Both were voted in.

A motion was made
by Gord Burns, and seconded by George Sullivan, to accept the minutes
as distributed. The motion was carried.

Treasurer: Gord Burns made the treasurer’s report, our
current net worth is $ 6387.22 It was moved by Gord Burns to
accept
the report as read, and seconded by Bob Wallace. Motion carried.

Membership: Reported by Fred
Schatz that we have 204 paid members.

c.
|
Entertainment:
Peter Heppelston was not present, no entertainment reported. Ted
Stiles, Shane Irvine, Gord Burns & Peter Wilkins Volunteered to
assist with the BBQ.

Battle of the Atlantic, Terry Jones was the guest speaker at
the Legion Ottawa Hull Branch. Peter Wilkins and Bill Black represented
SAOC at the Cenotaph.

Business
a.
|
Reported by Mike Young that a Naval Centennial Working Group
has been set up. He is putting together a brief report on their
activities for the newsletter and has Volunteered to represent SAOC
Central for the working group.

also reported that David Price had crossed the bar 3 weeks ago.

50/50 Draw:
$6.00 was added to the 50/50 from this meeting for a total of $89.00.
John Butler won but was not present to receive.

It was
moved by Ted Stiles, and seconded by Gord Parlee that this meeting be
adjourned at 20:17. The motion was carried.
